i have a 206 dual console Sea-Pro with a 175 Mercury Verado. existing prop has a 17 pitch and I can maintain a top speed of about 44 mph. i would like to get 4-5 more mph on top end and I was thinking of a 19 pitch. will this drop my top end rpm too low and put too much strain on the engine. i don't want to do anything to void or negatively impact my warranty.

thanks

Welcome to the iboats forum!!:):)
The change will reduce your rpm's by somewhere around 400. I can't tell you if it will take your rpm's too low because you didn't tell me what your current rpm's are at wide open throttle(WOT).

great! thanks! current rpm's at wot are 6100 rpm. the recommended range from mercury is 5800-6400 rpm so i would think i should be ok? from your experience will i pick up 4-5 mph at wot?

thanks
