I rebuilt my motor last year and bought what I was told was a rebuilt 70's era head for my 3.0. Everything is working fine, no issues, however, I decided it was probably time to change plugs.

The old motor/head used the AC-MR43Ts. When we assembled the new motor/head, a buddy gave me some NGK BPR6EFS's that he had. I've been running the NGK's w/o problems for almost a year now. I bought some MR43Ts today at the parts store but when I went to install them, they are too short/fat. The plug barely gets the threads into the plug hole and stop at the collar on the plug. I ordered a set of the NGK's today so I'd have 'em for the 4th, but I'd really like to find out what's up.

What gives? Any ideas? What plug do I need?
