Plug Wires - Quicksilver

Both ends are the same. One is gray colored, one is black.
Same kind of boot on each end.

Does it matter which color goes on plug or distributor

Look at your coil wire. Only one end will fit the distributor cap, match the color of the spark plug wires to that.

I was focused on making sure I had the right firing order and put the coil on last. That is when I noticed it was a different color.
I have some on backwards. I will switch them

Just curious, what would be the difference

The spark plug ends are a different material. May be because of the higher heats near the head and exhaust manifold.

Must of been the light last night. They are the same color.
What the coil had on it was a light gray/yellow mark on the distrib. end.plug on the outside
The wires had the same little mark.
You can also rub it off.

I am thinking they put that gray/yellow mark on there to tell what wires you are replacing if you are doing one at a time.

They are the same color, same on the inside. Just some have that removeable mark on them I had on backwards
