Plugging up livewell..

This boat of mine had a livewell in it, and I am taking it out for more room. I was wondering how would be the best way to plug up the holes in the back of the boat. It has the water in hole, water out hole, and the respirator pipe that sticks out the back of the boat. I'd like to keep them there in case I ever sell the boat and the person wants it back in. Anybody ever messed with this before?

Why not loop a short piece of pipe/tubing from the in to the out?

Not good. Assuming it's a bass boat, many have the outlet on the side of the boat and inlet on the back of the boat. Connecting the two would probably require more pipe then most people want o see hanging off the side of their boat.

Instead, search the net. I remember seeing some place that sell live well plug.

The proper way would be to install thru hulls with seacocks on the inside.

Will a compression plug work (larger version of a bilge plug)? They are readily available at the hardware.

Those type plugs would go on the inside of the thru hull fittings right?? I would opt for a cap with hose clamp because the inside of the fittings is smooth and the exterior has the barbs to retain the cap, especially if it has a hose clamp too.
