I'm in the process of replacing the stringers and deck, the factory stringers look to be 1 x 6's. I was watching some videos on youtube and saw a few replaced with plywood. either way they're going to be glassed in. which would be better?

Plywood is the standard, either doubled up half, or 3/4"

Welcome to iBoats.
First off, It's best to keep all your posts concerning your project in one Thread. That way the members can follow along with all your questions in one central location. Plywood stringers will yield a stronger structure. This link will give you some good info on how to do what you need to do. I'd recommend using 1/2" ply and laminating them together to get the lengths required. this will give you a 1" stringer. We Love pics and they make it a lot easier for us to see what you see and then give much better advice on how to proceed. Photobucket is the best online source for storing your pics and then posting them to iBoats. Use the IMG Code to copy and paste your pics into your iBoats thread.

that sounds good to me! I'm already going to to the deck with 3/4 ply so that should save a few bucks in building materials using what would've been scrap.
