Points Conversion Kit suggestions??

Any suggestions on where it's worth it and what is the best kit for the price to switch to and electronic ignition.

Yup.. We talking about Mercruiser, Volvo, OMC?? A serial number for the engine and drive would be helpful. :joyous:

Pertronics - best money i ever spent. They make a model to fit any inboard engine.

I converted mine to Petronix too a few years back after the old points system left us sitting out on the lake. No problems since.

The motor is a Mercruiser 470. Is this easy to do yourself?

Yes converting to Petronix was easy. Open up the distributor cap, remove the old points, put in the Petronix module and hook up a couple wires.
