Can you tell just for the record :

-Your current tiller driving position : port or starboard
-Why you sit there ?
-Sitting position : on tubes, deck, bench ?
-Do you check water peeing port when boating : never, often, once in a while ?

Happy Boating

Port, More control with right hand (hmmmm...), Tubes, Pee often... and I check the motors output frequently too! Lol. Though if being totally honest, once I've been going for a good hour or so, if i Don't see anything untoward in output, I tend to "forget to check" as often and it becomes once in a while at best.

Starboard because my motor's tiller is port and it would be jammed in my back if I sat port side.
I sit on the rear bench.
I check the water flow out the motor after first start up- maybe once in a while on a long trip or if I get bored I might have a look at it.

Re: Poll-Driving Position...

The torque from the prop lifts the right side of the boat, so it is counterbalanced by having the operator sit on the right side. That is also why the tiller is mounted on the left side of the motor when looking forward.

As inflatables are relatively wide, people make the mistake of trying to steer while sitting on the left. Then to reach the shift handle, you find it on the other side of the motor from your seating position. Try that with a narrow boat and no one will have to tell you to sit on the right. A tiller in the ribs will remind you :)

I guess it all depends if you left handed or right handed ... my tiller is modified to sit smack bang in the middle and extended with stainless steel (but this is for racing) sitting on deck with foot straps holding on for life ... my pee port is extended to flow on my hand cause I don't have time to look back ....
