Pontoon I/O conversion

Has anyone out the done as I/O conversion to their pontoon boat
I am looking to convert my outboard powered pontoon to a I/O powered pontoon.
Am looking into possibly a 4 cyl with merc or volvo outdrive.
Your thoughts ....or "experiences" please

Might want to read thru this thread. Done & done exceptionally well. May be others here @iboats, but not that I'm aware of. Do a search from the resto forum home page using 'pontoon I/O conversion'
