Got back from a day out, noticed that a noise was coming from the right toon. Opened up the drain and found about a gallon or two of water. The main problem is that when I went to put the plug back in it seemed like it was stripped, went in but never really got tight. Is their anything I could put around the plug for tomorrow to get me by.

Re: Pontoon plug

Plastic plug, metal plug, --- what???? Did you take it back out and look at it? It is obviously leaking. If it's a plastic plug as most newer ones are, go to Lowes, Home Depot or any hardware store and get a new one. Put some thread sealant or teflon tape on the threads. A plastic plug going into a metal bung will not strip the threads in the bung. If the plug is metal, that's a different story and you may have an issue.

As a quick fix try part of a plastic shopping bag, never understood why they put a hole under the water line, its like they just expect them to leak.

Yeah it is a plastic one, I will swing into the hardware store this morn and find one. Thanks for the reply, I didn't realize that they were that easy to find!
