21' pontoon with 1999 Mercury 115.
Should top speed be more than 21 MPH?
Running a 13P prop.

Also, has anyone heard of the "Waterglide"?

Suppose to be some kind of thingy to give more buyoancy to a pontoon, kinda like a partial toon.
Thanks

Re: Pontoon ?

Nope, never seen one before.
This potoon is in high country between 6 and 9K feet.

I know that makes a difference, but still think it should run a little better than 21 MPH with the 115 on it.

Them things work Trent?

Re: Pontoon ?

Dont really know if they work SBN, But it looks like it should raise the toons out of the water for more speed. I wish I could try them. But im too cheap :)

Iv got my rig set up to turn the max rpm of 5500.

Drove a friends 24' toon two weeks ago with a 115 Merc on it. It GPS'd at 28MPH. Dont know what prop it had and I dont remember the RPM.

Re: Pontoon ?

5500? He says his top rpm's is 4950 so I figure that is why his MPH's are down.

Yea they say about 690 more pounds of buyoancy that they give.

Re: Pontoon ?

This is not an outboard thread, it is a 'toon thread.

I am going to move it there. Then I will lock it out of respect for our dear departed friend.
