Marine grade Popsicle sticks? Pressure Treated? BC? Epoxy or Poly?

That will make for a nice Viking Funeral when he goes!! Those small hardwood sticks do burn hot. I wonder what kind of glue... obviously not elmers!:D

Jeesh, and I was impatient waiting for resin to setup when doing a floor. I can't fathom the time that took to build.

As far as glue, I have to wonder now what did he use...

Actually... elmers could do the trick, provided they had a super-duper perfectly waterproof coating over the whole thing to seal out any water from reaching the elmers glue... plus... this is kinda in line with oops' idea... but instead of ping-pong balls, if you see a bunch of popsicle sticks floating in the water, you can follow the trail to find and rescue him. :D

PS - now this guy is someone that can obviously appreciate my next project. I wonder just how many people told him he was crazy and insane for thinking he could build a boat out of popsicle sticks and possibly sail it across the atlantic. :D

PS - After writing that I found this out, the boat isn't made entirely of popsicle sticks, in fact, if all the popsicle sticks could fall off and it would be a viable boat still. Here's a picture of them constructing it...

To me that seems like cheating, and I am very disappointed.

That's awesome. A very creative and I'm sure a difficult project indeed!
