What kind of boat and engine: 2016 Regal 2700ES w/ V8 380 Volvo

What is happening: Boat won't go over 1500 rpm in forward. If I put it in reverse and throttle hard, she's slow to get up in rpms but is able to climb to 3000 or so. If I rev up in neutral, she's very slow to climb but will get up to 5000 rpm. If I quickly throttle up in forward I can get up to about 2500 rpm then she drops right back down to 1500 rpm and stays there.

What I've done so far: I replaced the batteries (they were old anyways) in case it was a voltage problem. No change. I tested the low pressure fuel pump and it read 12 psi. I cannot test the high pressure side because on this newer engine, they don't have high pressure schrader valves on the fuel rail, apparently you have to test it on the pump which I don't know how to do.

My question: Does anyone know how to test the high pressure pump without the schrader valve? Also, this is a charter boat and I need to get it fixed quick because I have bookings this weekend. I was thinking of hooking up a temporary electric fuel pump to hold me over through the weekend. Also, this would help me determine if fuel is really the problem. Has anyone done that before? Would I just need a fuel pump that can produce 50 psi and hook it up inline? Another question, does anyone know the scan tool that the pros use to read fuel pressure? I was thinking of buying one.
