I have been noticing a lot of posts about the same problems lately and I am wondering if we could make some stickies for them here in the Adults Only section.
1) Electrical issues: 95% of the electrical issues that I have encountered can be solved with cleaning and sealing connections. Shiny clean, from battery to helm to engine and ground, etc. Maybe some pictures of bad connections, connections that don't "look" bad, and what a clean connection should look like. Also some suggestions on what people use to seal their connections.
2) 'New to Me' boat checklist of maintenance before launching: impeller/water pump, bellows, oil change, lower gear lube change, gimbal inspection, u-joint inspection, spark plugs, fuel/water filter change, etc. All with possible videos or links to videos.
It seems a lot of questions keep coming through with the same answers and this might alleviate some of the 'clutter' so the grumpy old guys that play with boats can spend more time on technical questions rather than the same thing over and over.
