possible trigger problem.

1985 Merc 50hp- lost fire to the upper two cylinders. Tried a new switch
box (spare) and same problem. Replaced stator last May. Can the stator
cause lost fire to two cylinders or does it sound more like a trigger problem?
Is there a simple check for the trigger?

Chances are it's not the stator as it should effect all cyls. Heres the complete test to test your system.
