Yep. Thanks, LF. Lots of power outages. We got power back yesterday. They'll probably be checking-in as their lights come back on.

Re: POST 'WILMA' - Check In

I'm here, all in on piece... No power, just the generator... Phones just came on-line..

Not too much damage here... I lost a bunch of roof shingles, but no tar paper.. No leaks, so no blue tarp roof for me..... :) Lost a couple more trees and bushes too...

I have power at my shop as of yesterday (thursday), but none here at the house.. It may be mid november before I get power back here at the house.... dunno... That's what FPL says..

Thankfully, the weather is cool.. Highs in the high 70's low 80's, and lows in the 50's and 60's... Hope it stays that way...

Gotta run... cold shower's calling....... burrrrrrr...

Good to hear you got over the BUMP . Watched radar as the storm went thru. Looked like you may have been seeing eye to eye with mother nature on one of her bad days. Good luck with the power and hope it comes on sooner than you expect.

Re: POST 'WILMA' - Check In

I got power back at the house last thursday and I was able to lurk Iboats but I have my password here at work.

I only lost a few roof tiles and the huge oak tree in the front yard. It missed the house by 4 feet.

Got caught up on alot of house stuff. Kids learned how to exist without a computer. Cooked with my dutch oven and laughed at the (tv/radio) local news from time to time. Thank god the weather was cool. Traffic is a problem without signal lights and the usual idiots Florida Power has done an amazing job same as the city in clearing the tree in front of the house.

The lower rim of the eye went over us. Glad it happened during daylight.

:)

Re: POST 'WILMA' - Check In

Glad to hear from you Snap!...huricanes are a blast....Certainly brings the family together. Its very depessing however to see some that are homeless now. I custom fit most all of my windows with 3/4 plywood and barrel bolt latches so next time I can secure everything in about an hour by myself. I think we've payed our dues this year...
