Potential Aluminum Gem in the Rough?

Hey guys, I haven't been here long however I wanted to drop in and post a few pictures of a boat that I have been considering. I currently have a 1236 and of course, it is too small. I have a line on a 14 footer with a wider hull.

My concerns are that there are no bench seat or anything. Obviously that leaves potential, but I wonder if anyone has seen anything like this before. That will kind of direct my thought process and dial in to some ideas about what I could do with it.

Thanks guys!

With the walls on the inside and centered seats it looks like an older stick steer model of some kind to me.

Indeed....once you install foam panels in the floor, and install a plywood floor, the possiblities are endless. Now is a good time to re wire. Sit back and think about what you want to do.

I see. So with the thicker walls, the possibilities are endless.

When you guys say foam, you mean between the ribs and then line the whole thing with ply? I did the same thing in my 1236 and then secured it with rivnuts in order to remove it on occasion.

I guess with this bigger boat I could add a rod box and battery bank, along with all sort of good stuff.

Yep the pink stuff and when you fill it full you can use half inch ply becuase the pink will help support. Plus the ribs seem to be fairly close so half should be fine, saving you some weight. Didnt notice how thick the sides were you could cut out and build a box to drop in for storage.

Nice blank slate but I will throw out that those boxes on the sides may be filled with foam, I'd be cautious and do some test holes before cutting into them.
