I aquired a 1985 grumman bassboat with a 50hrse Mariner and am in the process of restoring it. My problem is: After removing the top covers I discovered the stator, trigger, coils and switch box wiring was shot. After replacing the said parts replacing plugs cleaning plugs and testing compression
I tested the motor, starts great seems to idle a little fast but runs.
My first test run in the water i discovered that it has no power/acceleration its getting fuel but won't power up! Any ideas would be helpful.
