Power boat

Hi, I have been riding Jet skis for years but, They do not seem to satisfy my need for speed, I was recently out at my lake and a guy came up to the docks and had a speed boat, He claimed the Main boat was custom made, It was a 2 seater the front was all solid and it had a open engine in the back, a 454 with straight out exauhst, i havent really played around in the boat business but, I have a 400 small block thats almost new that i dont have any use for and was wondering where i could get a good boat to put in it preferably small and with a solid front end on it, and i need something that the 400 will fit in, Either new or Old could someone tell me where i could find the boat, i would be most willing to put in all the gauges and everything else, building the whole boat like he did i would guess. Thank You.

Link, you might want to check the boat engine forums here for what would be required to get the engine fitted with proper marine stuff. I've seen similar posts about folks wanting to convert auto engine to marine and many parts are different due to environement it runs in. But, if you're only using block and building from there might be different that starting with whole car engine.<br /><br />Sorry, I can't help with the where to find boat question.<br /><br />BL...

E-bay always has a hot boat in need of an engine for cheap $$$$..... but it should be a hint (or a hidden message to you) on why do the hot boats always need motors????? Allot of people try to use motors that are set up for cars and they do not last long.<br /><br />Bob
