Is a97 force 120 the same as 95 as
far as fit and swapping parts over?
97 is power head only so I will have
To switch everything over

A couple of things to check. Make sure the crankshaft on your 1995 has the same number of splines where the drive shaft engages as the 1997.

The 1995 has a switch box Mercury ignition system. The 1997 used the Mercury CDM ignition system. Look at the mounting points on the block of the 1997 for the coil/switch box mounting plate. You may have to fabricate something there so that the holes on the 1995 mounting plate match the mounting points on the 1997 block.

The adapter plate on the bottom of the 1997 block may not work on the 1995 leg. You may have to take the adapter plate from the 1995 and put it on the 1997 block to get it to mount on the 1995 leg.

If the splines on the crankshaft are the same, then you should be able to swap without too much trouble.
