I have just installed a new dist cap, rotor arm, spark plugs and HT leads. Everything sounds great. I have noticed a slight lag when I put the throttle into high acceleration quickly. Not sure if it was there before. Any thoughts?

Re: Power lag

Engine year/make/model and carb information please. Although it sounds like an accelerator pump issue, IMHO

Re: Power lag

Did you readjust the idle mixture of the carb after doing the tuneup? Too rich or too lean will cause the hesitation. Did you check or set the timing using the shunt that is needed to put it into base timing mode and then verify the advance timing?<br />There is more to a tuneup than just sticking in new parts.
