Power loss and overheating

Suzuki 140 HP I noticed at full throttel my speed was about one third. I thought it might be a carb problem. When I took it back out it overheated within a few mins..
Any clues?

Sounds like you need an impeller change. I wouldn't run it anymore until the impeller is replaced.

Thanks!!! I ordered the service manual which will instruct me on how to replace the impeller. But, would an impeller fail cause the loss in torque/power? My carbs look good! I thought the heat switch may have triggered the ignition to cut power when the block was over temped. I'm new at Marine Engines tho...
