Hi,

Just bought this outboard, runs fine the first time, but the second time it started to run rough at full throttle. At Low and midrange speed the engine runs fine.
- Bought new sparkplugs, no result, :(
- Mercury Dealer cleaned the carb. en placed a new fuelpump, no resul,
- Checked the ignition timming at low and high speed, ok, :)
- Bought the repair manual and checked the Low speed charge coil (3150 Ohm) and high speed charge coil (133 Ohm). The high speed charge coil should be between 200-250 Ohm.
And now?? buy a new charge coil??
Give me some advise please..

Greatings,
Dutchdude
p.s. Sorry for the language, i'm really Dutch :)

You are not Dutch here.
You are a boater!!!

Sorry for what language??

I am no expert on ignitions, but you seem to have found the problem. I hope a new high speed coil solves the problem.

Also, it helps to curse a bit when working on an engine. :)
