So boat ran great all summer ,but was noticing the battery was not charging and dying on me.
so my cousin who was up with on weekend ,who i thought was more mechanical then me ,talked me into changing the power pac with my old one ,now i might of screwed up the firing order to the coils.
i tried to get them the same but i dont think i did,
searching for a wiring diagram and cant find one. anyone have an idea where to get such wiring diagram,to connect the right coil wires to coil ,they are coded .. but does it make a difference ,i went on length ,but might have the sides mixed up .
also found out that the engine was originally a 1978 but rebuilt with a newer power head ,the ninetys.should there be a number on power head to find out exact year ,as i need to change the water cooled voltage reg. ,thought it was the little round rectifier on side of engine ,but discovered it was the water cooled one.
going to do some voltage checks on it first ,, any easy ways , going to buy a new ohm meter as the one i have ,might be garbage.
tia .
