Power Steering Assist

This is my first post ever to a chat room. I am re-powering my 24' boat with a dpsm 1.78 outdrive connected to a 350 Chev engine. I have a car power steering and bracket that will bolt up. Will this work with a Volvo power assist or do I need to use a Volvo marine power assist steering. Thanks!

If I was you, I would give it a try. The powersteering pump that we use on our marine engines, have been used in cars also. I don't know if the internal components are different, but the housing is the same. If it bolts right on, and the hoses fit, give it a gentle try.
