What do you mean by came with your boat? Was it just a spare part that came with a used boat you bought, or was it originally on the engine and someone took it off?
I doubt that pump was original to the engine.
What is the model number of your engine.

Re: power steering help

I once had a Volvo Penta 571A, the powersteering pump was mounted on the same location as yours.

On the circulation pump, there was an extra pulley, mountede "on top" of the 2 groove pulley. This pulley was driving the powersteering pump. Find that pulley and you are ready.

The original VP number is 1219961
