Power Steering Hose

There are two hoses coming off the power steering pump. One appears to be high pressure (has special fittings on both ends) and one is not (just has hose clamps). The one with the special fittings has flaking rubber coating on it. It looks like a braided steel hose that is coated in the rubber. Question is - do I need to replace this hose (looks like a tough job) or is it ok without the rubber coating? IS there a risk of leaking or blowing out? Thanks for your help.

Ayuh,... There's ALWAYS the Risk,...
It's a 2500psi system on that side, low pressure return on the other...

now I need to change mine. It has a pin hole in it. It looks like a 5/8 wrench will take the ends off and then screw another one on. I am going to do it tommorow.

It's about an $90 part. If it is not showing any signs of leaking I would leave it alone thats just me.
