Pulled my engine in October and after I put it back together and was refilling the power steering fluid I noticed a leak on one of the hose fitting on the end by the steering manifold. Only leaks when pump is running and wheel is being turned. Didnt leak before engine pull. It is a tight fit at the manifold on the transom is it possible I didnt get the end set properly? Any ideas appreciated.

Check to see if you cross threaded

Ayuh,..... Manifold,..??..??..??

The P/S system is the pump, the lines, 'n the actuator,.....

The threaded connections are inverted flare fittings,....

If it leaks, it's damaged, or cross threaded,....

The hi-pressure side has to be crimped hyd. lines, for 1500 psi or higher,....

The return side is low pressure, 'n plain ole hose clamps will work,....

Actuator is the term I was looking for. I'll double check to make sure it didnt get cross threaded. Any trick to getting both those fittings in that tiny area?
