I am not a seasoned mechanic so please excuse my ignorance. I have a 1984 Rinker, 18' open bow runabout with a Mercruiser 185 engine. I kept losing power steering fluid and have discovered a slit in a rubber fitting/seal that connects the housing that activates the steering cylinders and the pump. Is it possible to replace that fitting/seal? If so, where do I get a replacement part? Thanks!

Are you talking about a hose that goes from the pump on the front of the engine to the actuator on the transom?
