Twin Volvo Penta 4.3 GI, Regal 2660.
When I am turning steering wheel, it sometimes skips a 1/8 of a turn and then engages again. Otherwise it works good. Please, advice.

....or your belt is simlpy slipping. Check your belt condition, tension and clear of fluids.
FWIW....Ed in 'ol Virginny

Could be slightly low on fluid, too. Ed

Sorry, Turkey duty.

I am preatty sure it's cable over hydro.
Going to take it apart tomorrow. Fluid is fine, I added to the level. It is skipping quater turn now, same spot.

If it's cable/hydra, is it rack and pinion (at helm) or is it rotory? If it's R/P make sure the bolts holding the cable (rack) are tight to the helm (pinion).
But that isn't likely. Bond-O is probably right.

Yup. Belt first. If slipping it'll cause exactly the symptoms you described.
