hey i just bought a 1970 Formula 233 with a merc V-8, the boat caome with no literature so i don't really know what is on the boat. but here's the problem. the trim works in the up position (Trailer Range) using the down button it will come down about halfway and stop moving, though the trim motor is still spinning with light resistance so i am guessing that it isn't binding. <br /><br />The previous owner needed a course on wiring, and why not to use k-mart connectors in salt water, but after i cleaned and replace all connections, the same problem exists. the other problem i have is the owner hacked up the wires controling the trim motor, there's even lamp wire, so i guess what i really need is a wiring diagram and a bunch of free time. pls help !
