Power tilt issues

Hey There,

Soooo, I got this old force 90 (with crossfire fuel induction, whatever that means), model 906X90C. After the last outing I noticed a leak coming from my tilt system. I have narrowed it down to one if the unreachable lines that heads in behind what looks like the main tilt piston. It appears that I have to remove the whole power tilt system and I was hoping that there were some tricks or some advice before I do more damage than good. On a slightly different note I have been looking for a shop manual for this motor with little effect. So far I found a seloc manual in the library but it was not very accurate, is there a special force archive out there somewhere? Any replies are greatly appreciated, at three thirty I am going to refer to a merc manual that seems close and try to get the system off the boat. It suggests that I will have to remove the transom bolts and ease the unit out. All the while supporting this monster motor so it won't fall on me and sever fingers, something like that.

Thanks,

Re: Power tilt issues

back boat up under strong oak tree and throw rope over branch. tie off engine.

remove two front oil tubes from pump
remove two back oil tubes from cylinders
remove pump from boat
remove upper mounting shaft
remove lower mounting shaft
system will fall off boat when mounting shafts are removed.
install in reverse.
