power tilt on my 85hp force outboard motor

the power tilt on my 85hp force when raised will not stay raised. It will lower all the way back down in approx. 5 minutes. All hydraulic lines are tight & not leaking. Pump reservoir is full of oil also. Could the pump be bad or could it be airlocked. Check the seals in the pump. I've read other threads on this forum where that was the difficulty.

Almost always the pilot check valves. Get a maual,pretty easy to replace. Good Luck
