Power Tilt

My power tilt will only work about once a day? This morning I pushed the "IN" button and it worked fine, went up also. After that it does not work, all I hear is a clicking sound when trying to put it up or down. If I wait until the next day it will work but only once or twice.

Have a Mercruiser 1978 I/B O/B 120hp 4 cyl.

Take all electric connections for trim apart and clean and put them back together with di-electric grease. Relay may be bad also.
