power trim and tilt

Power trim unit, motor runs and is full of oil. Unit goes down fast up will not go up fast, moves very slow. Suggestions?

Define slow -
Down is always faster

115 suzuki, 1997 . was acting like it needed oil. Checked and oil was red. Sort of looked like Automatic transmission fluid. Drained it an refilled with clean trim and tilt fluid. Now it moves real slow.

Slow= motor would burn up before cylinder rod touched the motor, but they do move.
