The wires leading to the limit switch on my outdrive have rotted on one side at the switch. Is it ok to splice the wires in order to repair? If it matters the outdrive is a Bravo III.

Sure you can. Just make sure you use the same gauge wire - and if possible solder the connections followed with a waterproof or heat shrink tube. Make sure you put the tube on first.

Re: Power trim limit switch wires

Thank you. I seem to have another problem. Where the wires broke off are butt up against the limit switch. I have no wire to connect new wires to. Is there a way for me to dissassemble the switch to install new wires?

Ayuh,... Frankie, don't hy-jack an Old thread about something similar to your problem, post a New thread about Your problem...

You need to do that in the I/O forum...
You also need to pull the gimbel housing to Fix your problem...
