hot wire trim motor directly to 12V battery. if it spins then motor is good. if not, then not.

You could also LIGHTLY tap the motor with a screwdriver handle and see if it runs; could just be a stuck brush. Good luck

when tapping, go lightly.
Your year should be 2w. 2w motors will have magnets glued on the inside. Tapping sharply can crack or dislodge the magnets.

If tapping makes the motor spin, then you are likely to need a new motor in the near future. The root cause of sticking brushes is rust. Most trim motors don't last very long once the rust gets inside.

If it does work after tapping on it, take the motor apart and you may be able to save it with a set of brushes and a good cleaning.
