Power Trim only goes down

I am having problems with my power trim. It will only go down. When I push the up on the button I hear and feel the relay clicking but nothing other than that. Previously it would begin to go up if I tapped on the PTT Motor, but that no longer works. Is it thew relay, the PTT motor or some other problem. This is my first attempt at repairing a motor so any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Hey Jim,

Let's start with what kind of motor it is we're dealing with. Outboard, I/O or whatever. Sure would give the guys here a better chance on trying to nail this down.

Bad relay. Does the switch on the motor do anything??

It is a Suzuki 150 2001 Outboard with a trim switch on the side of the motor and on the throttle. When activating the switch on the motor or the throttle the engine will activate the hydraulics and go down, but will not go up. I pulled the cover to the motor and found where the relay switch is located and it clicks when I activate trim switch for the motor to go up. The up relay stich is warm compared to the down relay switch.

I swapped the two relays and the engine tilted up and not down. So it appears it was the relay?
