I have a 2000 90 HP Johnson (J90VLSSS) The power tilt and trim works fine with the exception of when in the motor is in the up position it slowly falls to the down position without hitting the button. Also last season I posted about the problem and was advised to tighten the manual release valve which I did and it slowed the problem down a bit but did not cure it. It does not leak any fluid and I did cycle it to get the air out. I want to replace the manual release valve and seal assembly but due to the way the transom is on my boat it is nearly impossible to get at the valve. I attached a picture to show how the transom is without having to explain it in words. So my question is how do I go about replacing the valve?
