My son decide to change the trim oil in hyd. unit and removed both plugs on the side to drain. The one has a spool valve with o-rings on it a couple of ruwashers with o-rings on them and a metal disc, I have put them back in rubber washer, disc then other washer. The other port has a check ball, pin and spring, and then a disc with an o-ring Im not sure how they came out, have tried different ways but it still doesn't work, is there a schematic available for this unit or has anyone suffered a similar fate. Suzuki DT55 outboard, power trim unit is a Shinko.

Re: Power trim problems

Try the website for Brown's Point Marine. They have schematics for all Suzuki outboards on their website free of charge and the site is very easy to navigate. I have a DT55 and have found it very helpful. You can call them for advice as well. They are very helpful and specialize in Suzuki outboards. They have all the parts for older 2 stroke Suzukis. Hope this helps.
