Power trim swapping

Hi everybody,<br /><br />first of all please excuse my english (i'm french speaking).<br /><br />is there's someone who could pleasse help me with power trim unit compatibility. Mine (part #854472A 3) on a 1993 60 hp Mercury 1993 (S/N 0D074327) "leak" down when power is applied. I already change the release screw and the seals at the pump, without success. So it seems that the problem is related to the cylinder, but the parts for the rebuild were no longer available...<br /><br />I could buy a new unit on ebay (part #830250T 5) and it look very similar (single ram, 2 wires, round motor case). The seller told me that the only difference would be the retaining pins diameter. If it's true, i could live with it (with some drilling or bushings), but i don't want to purchase a unit that won't fit into my engine bracket.<br /><br />Thanks.

Maby I can help you out. Am discarding a 92/93 mariner 40 hp. 4 cyl. Everything went on the street except the transom mount. It is still connected to the boat. Pump motor is brand new and cyl worked just fine. stinkin_badges@yahoo.com Dont have any p/ns but there is a good chance it will fit. Its yours free if you can use it. regards fred

Mike, if saumon does not want it, its yours. I even saved the motor trim switch but the relays went south with the power head. New pump motor ( aftermarket ) is only about 2 months old. fred

Mike, sorry, unit is going north of the boarder tomarrow. Hope it lives out its life in fresh water. fred
