Help me check my Trim tilt fluid.

I have a 1996 volvo cobra Sx drive. The trim pump has a built in reservoir.
The manual says to run the drive all the way up. Remove Plug. Make sure the fluid is at the bottom of the fill hole threads. Replace fill plug.
Ok I do this.
In my other manual it says the same thing but adds that before replacing the plug to run the trim tilt up and down 6 times to purge out the air.
If I do that , when the drive goes down out comes the fluid I just put in.

What should I do

First one is the operators manual. (Volvo)
Second one is The Seloc manual. I know, I know.
When I find it I will check my second operators manual. The one that came with boat. (Omc).
But as I recall both operator manuals are pretty much the same.
This is my 4th boat and I just cant remember how I used to check them .

Use the Volvo manual information. That's what you have there, right??? A Volvo..... Or do you have a Seloc drive and trim pump ???????

Another strike against aftermarket manuals. Anyone keeping score on the number of mistakes found?
