I recently purchased a 96 Force, 40HP with power tilt/trim. I was concerned that it wouldn't climb over logs etc... when the need should arrise. In a seperate post, I was told there in deed was a built in relief valve, but was unable to activate it by lifting on the motor. Next, i purchased a Clymer manual and identified the location of the valve, which consists of a spring, needle valve, spool and another what appears to be plunger. I can't seem to get the plunger out of the bore and suspect thats why it won't pop off under pressure. Anyone out there been into these deep enough to confirm? Or any idea on how to get it out and at least inspect it?
