Power Tuner instead of adhesive

Has anyone changed all bellows and used Power Tuner instead of bellows adhesive .Which is better? I am going to change my bellows and shift cable and want to do it right...thanks,Bob

Have to assume this is an Alpha I Gen II outdrive.

First, clean ALL the old glue off the bellows and the bellhousing, and sand the surfaces to rough them up a bit. Then get a can of Mercury Power Tuner spray from your local Merc dealer.
Once you get all the glue off and everything is clean. Spray some power tuner on the bellows and slide it up onto the bellhousing and clamp it down.
Let it set for a while in the down position till it all evaporates and you are ready to go boating.

Yes ,I read that but what about u-joint bellows and shift cable bellows ?

The shift cable bellows doesn't really doesn't flex that much, so bellows adhesive works just fine.

bellows glue works fine... but power tune is easier to work with

Main bellows needs bellows adhesive on the transom side, power tune to install the ring on the gimbal side
shift bellows need glue also.
exaust bellows , whatever you prefer ,not a critical bellow
