I am in the process of rebuilding my 1978 235 Johnson. I just want to know from you guys that have done alot of these what are the most common pitfalls the novice engine builder experiences with two strokes? I have alot of experience with auto engines as I have rebuilt many of those. Two strokes are a total different animal.

My secon question is In the auto world we can get gasket kits for a total rebuild But I dont see a powerhead gasket kit Do I have to get each gasket and seal seperately or are kits available and where

Thanks For the replies in advance

I purchased Wiseco Pistons. From what I heard they are the best after market going..

make sure you are gettin a good product. not worth the few dollars to do it all over again.
