I have been trying to take powerhead off V-4 crossflow but without any luck I have reread the omc sevice manual over and over again. This is the first job of this size I've attempted I have used good deal of up pressure some beating and no heat.( the manual did leave out the disconnecting of throttle and shift cables could there be anything eles not mentioned)

There are 6 bolt's total, 3 on each side. There are 4 nut's on the front, 2 per side. 1 nut in a recess under the exhust cover. Did you get them all?

The power head to exhaust gasket must really be glued down. Do you have a bent pry bar you could use to pry up with? If you use this approuch, be carefull that you don't snap the casting somewhere.

I"ll give another try with more beating and prying I was afraid I just missed a bolt. those four bolts that go thru cases and the gasket and of course running in saltwater doesn't help thanks

running out of trees

Hello
I just looked at my 98 115 that I am rebuilding now. it has two nuts under the exhaust cover aft. 6 bolts, 3 on each side of the adapter that are about 5 inches long 2 short 5/16th coarse thread bolts and two nuts forward. good luck and keep posting. if all the fastners are removed then try prying up on the stud ends. sometimes the corrosion locks the studs.

have you tried to remove lower unit? just a thought to rule out drive shaft binding in crank.
