powerhead wont come off

so i found out that my merc 110 9.8hp has a water leak in the gasket between head and adoptor plate.(its why my outboard dont pee well)
i removed cover trim, unplugged kill switch wires, unplugged gas line, unscrewed choke line, unwinded throttle cable and took off 6 fasteners that hold down powerhead.

from there i tried to pull powerhead off but its stiff as heck!
what to do from here?

I have a '73 9.8 and had the PH off recently. If you are sure everything is disconnected,you can rap on the PH with a rubber or plastic hammer/mallet to loosen the grip on the mid section. What year is it?

Earlier I tried what you just stated, but still nothing.

???----The nuts on the front.-------Put them back on ( protect threads ) and use a prybar.

Either I'm afraid to really force the prybar or the power head really ain't budging
