Repowering an 18 Hydrasport CC. Currently have a 1995 evinrude, 115. Would going to a new 90hp 2 stroke e-tech evinrude or a 90 4 stroke suzuki cost me alot in power. Is the savings worth the reduction in power. Thanks

Hi EvinSFla
I think my question for you is how does it perform with the 115 HP right now? Is it marginal or is it plenty of power? Your looking at a 25 HP loss, which is significant. I don't know that even E-tec technology can make up for that. Let us know how she does now. Remember, you never regret getting more HP, only less...

You're seeing the glass as half-empty. The question is ... is the extra power of a 115 worth the added cost. ;)

The lower power will be noticable with either, but you'd notice it more with the 4-stroke. The fuel consumption of the 90Hp versions would be only slightly better than their 115Hp brothers.

One thing to remember. When you have spent your money it's gone, never to return.

The quality of your decision however, will be with you every time you use (and look at) the boat.

So why do you use the boat? Pleasure? So what is pleasure worth, or money for that matter?

Ok so you make payments and the payments would be a little more on what you want and enjoy. Bet you wouldn't have a problem doing without someting insignificant to cover the additional cost of the added pleasure you get from your boat. BTDT

Mark
