Here's what happends to make things simple. Original power pack and coil pack on my 2000 Johnson 4cyl 2 stroke motor its a 90hp. A new powerhead has also been put on it because I blew two cyl. I ride it for about an hour or so then go to idle. After I idle for about 15min it just shuts off like i turned the switch. New plugs the right amount of oil and brand new gas. No air leaks in the fuel line either. I made sure the RF plate is in between the coil pack and power pack so there is no interference. The timing is good. After it shuts off the whole engine compartment is extremely hot, hotter than normal I know for a fact but it doesn't overheat. I can start it up in neutral about half throttle but by the time I turn neutral off and put it into gear it dies. If I do get it moving under lower rpms it will just shut off after about 30seconds sometimes not even. It takes several tries to get it moving and it has to be higher rpms then idle. Usually around 2500rpms. Does this sound like a bad power pack and coil pack? I'm stumped
