I've usually used OEM parts, but CDI, Mallory and Sierra, in that order are OK as well for electronic parts. For water pumps, I always use OEM only.

Sierra does not manufacture parts, they only put their name on them.

i do not know about cdi but Mallory has been a manufacturer of ignition parts for a very very long time.

I would most likely go with OEM though if I had a choice!

CDI parts lead the industry. Their powerpacks simply cannot be beat.

I read in a post earlier that CDI makes all or most of the electronics for BRP and other manufactures nowa days?

I've heard that too.. But I have zero firsthand knoledge. But I do know my engines run better and start easier on CDI packs than they did on the OEM's.
