powerpack plug wires

Bought a new CDI powerpack for a 1992 Evinrude 175 today. Part # 113-4985, It replaces OEM part # 584910. The instruction paper that was included tells me what spark plugs to use...no problem. But is tells me to use the gray inductive plug wires only. The plug wires that I have are indeed gray and printed on them I read ( OMC CDI suppresion cable ). Are these the correct wires ? Please help, I want to get this right. Thanks... Darren Mac

Your wires are fine. The instructions are referring to the '91 thru '94 motors that had the stranded core black plug wires as original equipment.
